Inclusive Storytime

Our new Inclusive Storytime program is designed for children with special needs, their families and friends. Join us Saturday, September 8, at 10 a.m. at the Warren Civic Center Library for stories, songs, sensory activities, and crafts. While children of all ages are welcome, the program is intended for developmental ages 2 to 5. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Additional dates for Inclusive Storytime this fall at the Warren Civic Center Library:

  • Saturday, October 13, 10 a.m.
  • Saturday, November 10, 10 a.m.

No registration is required for this program.

Moose on the Loose @ Your Library

“What would yo do with a moose on the loose in your yard?

In your house?

In your bed?”

Join Warren’s new library director, Deb Lambert, at 11 am on Saturday, September 8 at the Arthur Miller Branch Library as she reads the 2012 Michigan Reads! selection Moose on the Loose by Kathy-jo Wargin. The story will be followed by a moose puppet craft. Please register so that we will have enough supplies; drop-ins are also welcome. To register, call 586.751.5377.

Fall Storytime Registration

Registration for fall storytimes at the Warren Public Library starts Wednesday, September 5.

This fall we will have:

  • Baby Lapsit for children up to 12 months (with parent or caregiver) at the Civic Center Library on Tuesdays at 2 pm;
  • Book Tots for children 1 to 2 ½ years (with parent or caregiver) at the Miller Branch Library on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Fridays at 10:30 am;
  • Toddler Time for children 2 to 3 years (with parent or caregiver) at the Civic Center Library on Tuesdays at 9:30 am, Tuesdays at 11 am, and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm; and
  • Preschool Storyhour for children 3½ to 5 years at the Burnette Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10: 30 am.

This fall’s storytime session will run from September 24 – November 17, with the exception of Baby Lapsit which runs from September 24 – October 30. Warren residents will be accepted first.  For a complete schedule of storytimes including registration information, click here.
