We are happy to welcome New York Times bestselling author Kathleen Flinn to the Civic Center Library to discuss her 2015 Michigan Notable Book Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good: A Memoir of Food & Love from an American Midwest Family. A multi-generational account of her childhood in Michigan, Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good has been called “a warm, quietly poignant treat” by Kirkus. It also includes recipes for some of the Midwest dishes she enjoyed as a child. Please join us for this chance to meet Kathleen Flinn!
