Author Mardi Link will be visiting the Warren Public Library’s Civic Center Library on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss her two Michigan-based true crime books, Isidore’s Secret and When Evil Came to Good Hart.
Isidore’s Secret recounts the mysterious disappearance and murder of a Leelanau County nun in 1907. When Evil Came to Good Hart details the murders of a wealthy Detroit-area family in their northern Michigan cabin. Ms. Link’s books have been called “well-researched and carefully written” by the Michigan Notable Book Award Committee. Regarding Isidore’s Secret, the Grand Rapids Press says “Link handles the Sister Janina case with a high degree of art“. Judith Guest, bestselling author of Ordinary People, says “My highest praise: it reads like a good novel, a real page-turner” about When Evil Came to Good Hart.
When you write about unsolved murders, not every story makes it into the book. Some stories are simply too bizarre, or too unbelievable. Join us while former police reporter Mardi Link recounts her research adventures–and you will get the story behind the story!
This event will take place in the Conference Room outside of the Civic Center Library. Books will be available to be purchased and signed at this event. To register, call 586.574.4564.
