Join Dr. Daniel Harrison, maritime archaeologist and professor of anthropology as he discusses the fascinating history and rediscovery of the early 19th century communities of the village of Belvidere and church of St. Felicity on the shores of Lake St. Clair.
Within a few decades of their founding, both had succumbed to rising waters of the lake. Were the causes natural, or man-made? The investigation combines history, archaeology, and climatology, and the unintended consequences that lead their loss below the lake’s waters within just a few decades of their founding.
