Monday, August 21, 12 pm, Civic Center Library
On the afternoon of Monday, August 21, something will happen in the sky above America that hasn’t happened in 99 years: a total solar eclipse visible from coast to coast! Though we won’t have a total eclipse in these parts, we will see a partial eclipse-almost 80% of the sun will be covered-still an impressive sight!
Children of all ages are invited to join us to learn about solar eclipse safety and make pinhole projectors from everyday materials. The eclipse starts at 1:03 p.m. and ends at 3:47 p.m.! Additionally, we will have a limited supply of eclipse viewing glasses to handout that day!
No registration is required for this drop-in program.
