Do you have a Kindle, smartphone, or tablet? If so, plan on attending our Get to Know eBooks and OverDrive class to discover how to take the library with you on your mobile device.

You will learn how easy it is to check out, read and listen to, and return eBooks and audiobooks from the library. You will never be stuck without a great read!

Call the Burnette Branch Library at 586-353-0579 to reserve a storytime kit that will be used to join along with Ms. Sharon’s Christmas Storytime that will be posted on Monday, December 7th to our Facebook page.

This special storytime will be available to watch through the end of the month. Kits will include jingle bells, a song sheet, and other fun activities.

Lavender Holiday Gnome Virtual Craft Program

Pick up a craft kit from the Maybelle Burnette Branch Library to make a holiday gnome that looks cute and smells great!

Registration is required. Call the Burnette Branch Library at 586-353-0579 to register. Craft kits can be picked up during curbside hours beginning Monday, November 30th. On Saturday, December 5th, a video will be posted to the library’s Facebook page showing how to do the craft. Written instructions will also be included with kit. This program is for adults only.

Holiday Lanterns – Tween Virtual Craft Night

Tweens and teens can create a glowing lantern as the days grow short by picking up all craft supplies at the Arthur Miller Branch Library starting Monday, November 30.

They can also join a virtual craft night to get any additional help assembling their lantern from Teen Staff members or chat with other tweens while enjoying a cup of cocoa during the December 3 Zoom meetup.

Registration is required; supplies are limited and will be held in reserve for registered tweens/teens. Register online or call 586-751-5377. This event is for tweens and teens, ages 10-17 only, no adults.

Zoom meet up information will be emailed out on December 2. Please do not give out Zoom information or password.

Thanksgiving Science with TechKnow Kids

Children ages 5-10 are invited to join Cathy from Techknow Kids as we whip up some fun Thanksgiving themed experiments!

Stop by Arthur Miller Branch Library from November 16 – 18 to pick up your supplies then join us online for a virtual program on November 19 at 6:30 through Zoom to go through some fun experiments!
