Wednesday, January 19, 2022 – Maybelle Burnette Library

We’ve all made paper snowflakes before but this one is quite different. Punch holes using a thumbtack into a snowflake template to make a unique window or wall hanging to brighten up your space this winter. This is a take home activity for tweens and teens ages 10-17.

Thursday, January 6 – Saturday, January 15, Arthur Miller Branch

Is the end of the semester getting you down or did you make mediation and self-care part of your resolution this year?

Tweens and Teens are invited to stop by the Miller Library for a Chill Out Kit filled with relaxing and sensory items and activities, such as water beads, kinetic sand, meditations, tea and more.

Pick up begins Thursday, January 6 and runs through Saturday, January 15.

Wednesday, November 17, 2021 – Maybelle Burnette Library

Use an embroidery needle and thread to create a design on a wooden cross stitch blank then turn it into a necklace or keychain. This is a take home activity for tweens and teens ages 10-17.

Thursday, September 16; 6:00 pm; Arthur Miller Library

Newly hatched chick surrounded by eggs

Children of all ages and their families are invited to join a member from Lake St. Clair Metro Park at the Miller Branch Library to learn about chick development and hatching with freshly laid chicken eggs.

The eggs will stay at the Miller Library until they hatch and we will be able to watch them grow into adorable chicks! Join us again on October 14th as we send the chicks off to the farm.

All ages. Weather permitting this program will be held outside in front of the library. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.
