Haven’t you always wanted to dissect and transform old books into whatever you desired? Here’s your chance!

Come to this program and showcase your creativity by using old books to make new creations.

This program will be held in the Conference Room next to the Civic Center Library and is open to ages 12-17. Registration is required. To register, please call 586.751.0770.

Join us—if you dare—for a genuine ghost hunter’s recollections and discussion of his paranormal investigations. Brad Mikulka of SouthEast Michigan Ghost Hunters Society (SEMGHS) has been investigating paranormal occurrences for over 15 years and has been featured on The Discovery Channel’s “A Haunting.”

SEMGHS is one of the oldest paranormal groups in Michigan. The organization has conducted over 200 investigations ranging from homes like the Lizzy Borden house in Fall River, MA to businesses such as the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, MI.

This event will be held in the Conference Room next to the Civic Center Library and is open to anyone over the age of 12. Registration is required for this event. Please call 586.751.0770 to register.

Beneath the SurfaceTeens, we hope to see you on Saturday, June 15 at the Civic Center Library  from 6pm – 9pm for our Teen Summer Reading Kickoff.

Stop by to register for the Summer Reading program, and stay for a fun and exciting night! We’ll have an inflatable laser tag arena, games, pizza, music, crafts, and more! Teens from all four branches are welcome and encouraged to register for Summer Reading here. We hope this event will be even bigger than last year!

No registration is required for this drop-in program. You must arrive by 7:00 p.m. Open to those entering grades 7 through 12 with school I.D., Michigan state I.D., or driver’s license only. This is a parent-free event.

ControllerTeens, looking for something to do this weekend? Consider coming to the Civic Center Library this Saturday, May  11 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m for Gaming 2nd Saturday!

Like the name says, Gaming 2nd Saturdays happens the 2nd Saturday of each month. The library will have its game systems available, but feel free to bring your own! Bring your laptop and compete online using our Wi-Fi. When you’re bored of playing, peruse graphic novels and watch anime DVDs. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

No registration is needed for this teens-only event. We hope to see you!
