Edgar Allen Poe died of slightly mysterious circumstances on October 7 in 1849. To celebrate the life and works of the father of the gothic horror story, tweens and teens are invited to come in for a special Halloween library lock-in with ravens, the red death, and tell-tale heart games, crafts, and treats. Costumes encouraged!

Our Splendiferous Solar System

Learn about our amazing solar system when Tony Licata, an astrophotographer and member of the Farmington Astronomy Club, delivers a guided tour of our planetary neighborhood. Weather permitting, we will go outside after and see the sky through telescopes. All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Mike Klein from the Macomb Intermediate School District will share ideas and strategies to excite students and help them succeed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)  subjects. Come join the Busch Library as it hosts its own book discussion club.  For the first discussion please bring a couple of your favorite books to share and discuss.  Meetings will be held the first Wednesday of every month and copies of the upcoming book will be available at the previous discussion or at the Busch Library circulation desk.
