Join us as Santa takes some time off from the North Pole and visits all four branches of the Warren Public Library this December! Children are invited to stop by any of the following locations to visit with Santa.

Saturday, December 8 at 12:30 pm  – Miller Branch Library

Please join us as we welcome is an award-winning journalist Susan Whitall to the Civic Center Library. Susan will be discussing her newest book Joni on Joni: Interviews and Encounters with Joni Mitchell. Joni on Joni collects 27 newspaper, magazine, television, and radio interviews with singer-songwriter Mitchell. Library Journal calls it a  “fascinating portrait of an artist is highly recommended for Mitchell’s fans and readers interested in the creative ­process.”

Teen Read Week – Redesign a YA Book Cover

In honor of Teen Read Week, we are looking for teens and tweens to showcase their artistic skills! Teens and tweens are encouraged to enter our contest to recreate their favorite (or least favorite) YA book cover with their own original art!

Pick up entry forms up at a participating library (Civic Center, Miller Branch, Busch Branch), or  download a form here. Feel free to work on your designs while in the library – markers and colored pencils will be provided.

Redesigns need to be submitted to the librarian at the information desk of any participating library by 5 pm on Saturday, October 13.

All entries will be posted in the teen areas of the participating  libraries and one lucky entry will be drawn for an awesome prize!
