Wednesday, September 29, 6:00 pm, Civic Center Library, Conference Room

The Warren Public Library is happy to welcome back author Deborah Goodrich Royce as she discusses her new novel Ruby Falls.

With Ruby Falls, Ms. Royce (a former actress (All My Children, Beverly Hills 90210)) has written a book that is receiving rave reviews. Described as “taut and propulsive” by Kirkus Reviews, Ruby Falls is is a nail-biting tale of a fragile young actress, the new husband she barely knows, and her growing suspicion that the secrets he harbors may eclipse her own.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Deborah Goodrich Royce! Register online or by call the Civic Center Library at the Civic Center Library at 586-751-0770. This is an in-person event and will be taking place in the Conference Room on the first floor of Warren City Hall.

Civic Center Library

The Civic Center branch of the Warren Public Library is pleased to announce a new program we have for families with preschool aged children. Any family that is a resident of Warren and has a child between the ages of 3 to 5 is eligible to receive a free early literacy kit to help prepare children for their kindergarten year. The early literacy kits will allow families to work with their children on specific skills they will need when they enter kindergarten. The kits include two activity workbooks and an early reader book to practice sight words. In addition, the Civic Center Library purchased Playaway Launchpads, which are pre-loaded tablets with educational preschool games, available for checkout with a library card.

Early literacy kits are available for pickup at the Warren Civic Center Library beginning July 1, 2021 and will also be available at children’s programs that are offsite (any outdoor programs that are scheduled at Veterans Memorial Park). Children must be present in order for library staff to issue a kit.

Funding is provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.
