The Warren Civic Center Library is relaunching Babies ❤️ Books, with expanded kits!

The kits are available for families who live in Warren, with children from birth to age three. The kits are based on the Library of Michigan’s Ready to Read program and will focus on Talk, Sing, Read, Write and Play. They are designed to help develop early literacy skills and instill a love of reading for the very young. Included in each kit are two board books, scarves, finger puppets, song and rhyme sheets with ideas for parents and caregivers to incorporate the activities to help develop early literacy skills. Families who return a brief survey included with the kit will be eligible for a second kit, with all new books and activities. The second round of kits will be available after Labor Day.

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
