Children and teens can stop by any Warren Public Library branch to pick up a free comic book.

Drop-in superhero crafts will be held at Civic Center Library from 9 am – 12 pm and 2 – 4 pm. Stop by the Busch Branch Library from 9:30 am – 11:30 am to make your own comic. No registration is required. Comics are available while supplies last.

Teens ages 10-17 can stop by Civic Center Library at 2 pm to make some Comic Creations. Register online or by calling 586.751.0770 .

Join us to hear the story Owl + Otter and the Big Yard Sale and make an otter craft. Register children ages 3-9 online or by calling 586.751.0770.

Children are also welcome to stop by the children’s desk anytime during the month of April to pick up a free copy of the book. (While supplies last, child must be present). This program is sponsored by Michigan Credit Unions.

Friday, April 14, 2023, 10:30 am and 12:30 pm, Warren Community Center Auditorium

Nancy Shaw, author of the Sheep in a Jeep series will present How Do You Make a Book? Nancy will read her stories and talk about how an idea turns into a book. This will include the many stages of the writing and publishing process. She will also discuss what an editor and artist does and how a book is put together. This presentation will include students from local elementary schools, but homeschooling families and the general public are also welcome.

The general public can register by calling 586.751.0770. Register online for 10:30 am or 12:30 pm sessions. Educators can contact Lisa or Alicia at the Civic Center Library to arrange a classroom field trip for grades K-2 (space permitting).
