Put on your Halloween costume and join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and to decorate a trick-or-treat bag. We will end our evening with a parade through the library where the children can “trick or treat” for goodies. This program is for ages 2 – 6.

Saturday, September 8, 9 am – 12 pm, Arthur Miller Library
What’s a BioBlitz? It’s a fun, intensive, short search for biodiversity in a specific location. Patrons of all ages are invited to attend, especially families with children. We will using smartphone apps like Seek and iNaturalist to help identify as many species of plants, animals, birds, and insects around the Warren Community Center. Join us to help discover all the nature that is around us!
Here is the schedule:
9 am – Arrival and check-in at the Miller Library. Light refreshments will be provided.
9:30 am – Overview of BioBlitz and familiarization with apps
10 am – BioBlitz (biodiversity survey of Warren Community Center grounds)
11 am – Wrap-Up

Children in grades K-3 will do a hands-on science experiment and make their own bouncy balls while learning about polymers. Prepare to learn new science concepts and have lots of fun!

The DIA Away trailer will visit the Warren Civic Center Library on Wednesday, July 18 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. This 53-foot expandable trailer has digital and hands-on stations to explore. The DIA Away trailer is a mobile, interactive museum and creative space that brings educational, hands-on art experiences into the community.
Come visit to think outside the box and “Think Like an Artist”! The trailer will be located outside of the Warren Civic Center.
