Friday, March 29, 1 pm, Warren Community Center Auditorium

Students in grades K-2 are invited to an event featuring bestselling children’s book author, Kelly DiPucchio! This event will be held in the Warren Community Center Auditorium.

Kelly’s talk, “I am Kind! What’s Your Superpower?”, is a motivational session with an anti-bullying message. Kelly talks to students about the power of kindness and how everyone can be a superhero to someone. This program features stories about real-life kids who have made a difference in the world as well as an interactive reading of Super Manny Stands Up!

Several local schools are attending this field trip. We have a limited number of spots for the general public and additional students to attend. Homeschooling families are welcome!

Tuesday, March 12, 6:30 pm, Arthur Miller Branch

Join us for a fun night of ninja activities and a special visit from the World Class Institute of Martial Arts as they introduce martial arts. There will also be a lesson on “Stranger Danger” that includes interactive role playing and teaching wrist grab escapes.

We are celebrating the life and works of beloved children’s book author Theodor Geisel, better know as Dr. Seuss with special events at several of our branches in March! Please join us for the festivities!

Dr. Seuss’s Birthday! – Saturday, March 2, 11 am – 12 pm  – Miller Branch Library
Let’s celebrate this famous author by reading some of his wonderful stories. We’ll make some Oobleck to go along with “Bartholomew and The Oobleck” and make a treat to go along with “Green Eggs and Ham”. This program is for children ages 4-11. Registration required; call 586-751-5377 to register.

Winter can make things difficult for our feathered friends.  Learn about birds through stories and make a bird feeder to help the birds in your backyard get through the cold winter months.
