Alphabet Shakeup Storytime – Virtual Event

Come explore the different letters that make up the Alphabet!

Children ages 2-5 are encouraged to join us for a story, a song, and other fun stuff as we “shake up” our usual storytime with a different letter each week! This session we will be starting from the letter ‘A’ through the letter ‘M’.

Registration is required. Register online or call 586.751.0770.

Parents registering will receive an email link to a Zoom meeting on Fridays at 11:00 am. If you can’t make the Zoom meeting, a recorded version will be available on the library’s Facebook page. Families who register can stop by the Civic Center Library to pick up an egg shaker and scarf to use at each class. Craft and letter worksheets will also be available to pick up every week.

Join us for an outside storytime the entire family can enjoy! We’ll have stories, songs, and a craft to take home.

Feel fee to bring your own chair or blanket, as we will be physically distancing.

While children of all ages are welcome to attend, stories are chosen for ages 4-8.

Do you have kids who can’t get enough books about princesses? Dinosaurs? Unicorns? Perhaps you yourself might want something different, perhaps a different genre or author? Give the library a call and let us help!

All Warren Public Library branches are now offering Book Bundles to go. Simply give us a call and let us know the topic, genre, or author you are interested in, and the age level. Our staff will hand-pick a selection of 5 books for you, and you can pick them an hour after you call.

Storytime in the Parks

We hope you will be able to join us as we bring our storytime sessions to the parks! With a few more weeks of summer, little ones can join us with a caregiver at two local parks in Warren for stories, songs, and a craft to take home.

Storytimes will be held at the following times and locations:

“Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Club Is Here

Imagine Your Story with this year’s Summer Reading Clubs!

Summer Reading Club is going on now and runs from Monday, June 1 – Monday, September 7. This year, all of our clubs are online. There are clubs for babies (0-2 years), children (age 3 – 2nd grade & 3rd grade – 6th grade), teen, and adults.

Signing up is simple: visit our Summer Reading Club site and create an account. As you read books this summer enter them in your reading log. The more books you read the more points you earn which gets you entries for wonderful prizes. Prizes this year include a Kindle Fire and various gift cards for adults, a Nintendo Switch or bike for teens, a Nintendo Switch or bike for kids, and stuffed animals for babies.
